Saventaro® is the only Uncaria tomentosa (cat's claw) that's patented, clinically studied, and guaranteed to benefit both the natural and acquired immune systems.? Although Uncaria tomentosa plants look alike to the naked eye, they occur in nature with two very different chemical makeups, called chemotypes. One chemotype provides POAs, the type of oxindole alkaloids (OAs) shown to benefit both natural and acquired immunity.? The second chemotype provides TOAs, the type of OAs that DO NOT benefit acquired immunity and CANCEL the benefits provided by POAs. The only way to identify the chemotype that provides the desired benefits is to analyze each plant at harvest time. Saventaro is the first and ONLY product made from Uncaria tomentosa that's analyzed for its specific chemotype at harvest time. Products that advertise high levels of OAs without stating they are TOA-free likely contain TOAs and therefore cannot provide the desired benefits. In addition, Saventaro is harvested from the root, where POAs are 200% more concentrated than in any other part of the plant. Saventaro is harvested in an ecologically friendly manner that ensures the growth of several plants for every one cut. Saventaro® is a registered trademark of IMMODAL Pharmaka GmbH (Austria) and is made in the USA under license from IMMODAL.

Cats Claw (Uncaria Tomentosa) is a large woody vine considered today as one of the most regarded beneficial plants of the rainforest. The inner bark of the vine is used to make a tea which is used traditionally by Ashaninka shamans. Oxindole alkaloids and quinovic acid glycosides in the vine have shown health enhancing effects. In addition, Cats Claw is rich in proanthocyanidins, which are potent antioxidants. It is used in nootropic drugs, as well as in the treatment of cancer and HIV infections. It appears to act as an anti inflammatory, antioxidant and anticancer agent. As a herbal treatment, Cats Claw is used to treat intestinal ailments such as Crohns disease, gastric ulcers and tumors, parasites, colitis, gastritis, diverticulitis and leaky bowel syndrome, while it is claimed to be effective in the treatment of AIDS in combination with AZT, the treatment and prevention of arthritis and rheumatism, diabetes, PMS, chronic fatigue syndrome, prostate conditions, immune modulation, Lyme disease and systemic lupus erythematosus. A 2005 review indicates there is supporting evidence toward its use in treating cancer, inflammation, viral infection and vascular conditions, and for its use as an immunostimulant, antioxidant, antibacterial and CNS related agent. It has also been shown to be a powerful MAOB inhibitor.

Cats Claw is a woody vine found in the tropical rainforests of South America. The name derives from the small curved-back spines on the stem at the leaf juncture which resemble the claws of a cat. The bark of the vine is rich in antioxidants and was traditionally brewed into a tea.
The high antioxidant activity of Cats Claw, coming from a wide variety of phytochemicals, makes it a powerful supplement to support the immune system. In addition, it promotes an anti-inflammatory response and specifically decreases inflammation in osteoarthritis. Research has shown Cats Claw to support bone marrow when deficient, promote cardiovascular health, and detoxify the colon. C-MED-100, an extract of Cats Claw, has been proven to boost DNA repair of skin damaged by UV sun rays. Enhanced DNA repair can result in immune stimulation and anti-inflammation. Traditional uses also aimed to alleviate allergies, menstrual irregularities, ulcers, and a variety of gastrointestinal disorders.
